The McMaster team performed a lumbar puncture to diagnose if the cause is a bacterial infection. Initial results indicate no infection, but they’re expecting more results in 48 hours when the cultures have time to grow. His blood work got sent away to the US for genetic testing today, and we’re expecting results from that in roughly two weeks. No news from neurology about further seizures, and no news is assumed to be good news.
Amber and I have moved out of the NICU bunkhouse and into Ronald McDonald House, a ~7 minute walk from Rowan. Still get to visit him any time, 24/7, PLUS now we get to change his diaper 3-4 times a day when he leaves us “gifts”.
