Rowan had another dozen or so probable seizures overnight last night, so neurology came by this morning to pop on the EEG again to try to catch one in action. However, the excitement from yesterday and the extra anti-seizure medication doses administered overnight meant that Rowan was asleep basically all day today, from around 8am until after 6pm. The respiratory therapists also had him on some slightly higher settings (more pressure and more oxygen) as a preventative measure, so we saw almost no episodes of any type during the day. All in all it made for a pretty boring day around the hospital. Of all the adjectives we’ve used to describe our days this month, I could definitely take more boring.

The BiPAP squashes Rowan’s face and makes him look grumpy all the time, so it’s always a relief the couple minutes a day when it comes off to be swapped and we get to see our contented little guy.
