A fairly quiet day in the pediatric ward. The EEG remains on for some continued testing overnight tonight, but there were no major seizures since it’s been on this round. In fact, neurology is pretty convinced that even some of the mild subclinical ones they’ve noticed have just been the sensors picking up back pats when Rowan is burped after feeds. The science is highly exact, but the equipment… well, it can have its blind spots. Tonight Rowan took his meds orally rather than through the NG tube and it went great, so if all goes well by tomorrow’s update the NG will be out and the EEG will be off. He’s bottle feeding like a champ so things are still looking good for a return home sooner rather than later, but we don’t have a firm timeline yet.
