Yesterday’s MRI went very well by all accounts so now we wait for results. His urinary catheter is out, the EEG has been removed, and he’s off all of his IV lines. Each bit of progress is evident in so many ways: fewer beeping machines by his bedside, a bit more movement from Rowan, and a few more minutes of restful sleep for his parents. Amber and I have a sit-down meeting today with some members of his medical team to answer some more of our questions about his care, make sure we’re up-to-date on all that’s happened so far, and get a better idea of what to expect moving forward.
Last night we were over the moon to see these little eyes once again, after them having been swelled completely shut with fluids since we arrived on Saturday. This is him giving me the stink eye for disturbing his sleep with a sponge bath after a long, full day.
