Not a whole lot to report today. The genetics/neurology meeting never materialized, so we’re hoping that happens tomorrow instead. Rowan had a bunch of episodes of rapid desaturation all day long, about one per 1-2 hours if I had to guess. No one’s really sure why they’re happening, but they only last about 20 seconds and the only thing they require is a quick tweak of his respirator settings each time until things level back out.
Amber and I tried out sleeping back at home last night. It’s not too far, less than 40 minutes door-to-door from Rowan’s room at McMaster to our unit in Guelph. It seemed to go well, so we’re going to make it our regular plan for the time being until something arises that makes it not feasible. It’s tough being back there without Rowan, but it’s nice to sleep in our own bed and to drink water from an actual glass.
